Welcome to our Sourdough Cooking Class!

NOTE: Classes are held on a Saturday morning in Norwood, South Australia. Refer to the calendar for available times.

Do you want to learn how to make delicious, crusty, and nutritious sourdough bread? Look no further! Our class will teach you everything you need to know about sourdough baking.

Detailed Description+

In this 3.5-hour class, you will learn from our experienced instructor, Josh (the founder of YKS) who will guide you through the sourdough baking process from start to finish. You'll start by shaping and baking a pre-prepared dough, which will give you a chance to see the final result and ask any questions you may have. Then, you'll prepare a dough that you will take home to bake later, so you can practice what you've learned at your own pace.

But that's not all! You'll also learn how to make sourdough discard crackers, a perfect snack to enjoy with your freshly baked bread.

In addition, you will receive a live starter to take home with you, which you can use to bake as much sourdough as you like! Our starter is made using South Australian flour (from Flinders Ranges Premium Grain) and makes an amazing loaf of sourdough!

Our class is suitable for all skill levels, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced baker looking to learn new techniques. Our instructor will provide you with step-by-step instructions, helpful tips, and answer any questions you may have.

Not only will you leave with a wealth of knowledge, a live starter and all the necessary tools and ingredients (if the kit option is chosen), but you'll also have a delicious loaf of bread and crackers to take home and share with your loved ones.
